Dear Lovers of All Things Local, Aside from music, what WMSE holds dearest to our heart is the Milwaukee community and those who make the city more beautiful, creative and delicious. We love individuals and businesses that work hard to make Milwaukee a dynamic and interesting place to live by doing and creating, not just by talking about what is done and what is created. A great friend once said, "Less talking, more doing." We're inclined to agree, but to put a spin on that sentiment with, "Less networking, more creating."
It is precisely this spirit that lies at the center of all WMSE events. We strive to showcase the hoards of amazing local businesses, artists, makers and doers. WMSE has an audience, a community. We believe it is our responsibility to introduce to this community all that is great and good about Milwaukee.
With all that in mind, we send this final reminder about this Saturday's 2nd Annual Buy-Local Bazaar (details after the image). 
We have over 50 vendors lined up to fill the Kern Center. There will be arts and crafts, artisan food and handmade soap, glass and bags, plants and so much more. There will also be, of course, music. We have a handful of local record labels on hand along with the incredible vinyl collection of WMSE DJ Shopkeeper Ken. Another WMSE DJ, Von Munz, will be there hawking his like-only-he-can-make Von Munzian art and posters. We'll have the WMSE Pop-up Show rolled out with discontinued merch. We'll have some of our biggest BFF partners and some of our Local First Milwaukee pals. The Buy-Local Bazaar is simply a great way to support and celebrate the local community and those who, again, make Milwaukee more beautiful, creative and dynamic. We hope you will make it down, and so too does your mom, who would really like a thoughtful, interesting Mother's Day gift in a couple weeks. See you there! |
