In celebration of the holidays, KBK has made a generous donation to the Downtown Women's Center, the only LA organization exclusively dedicated to addressing the needs of women overcoming poverty and homelessness on Skid Row. Its mission is to provide permanent supportive housing for women and to advocate for ending homelessness for women.

Most recently, KBK attorneys Alan Jay Weil and Corey E. Klein recovered almost $9.8 million on behalf of its national law firm client after winning in a legal malpractice action and obtaining a fee and cost award as prevailing party. More>. Lert also successfully defended an international law firm and one of its former partners against “inherent authority” sanctions sought pursuant to a federal judge’s order to show cause why such sanctions should not be imposed. In addition, Mr. Weil was successful in defeating several motions to disqualify a major national law firm in multiple cases pending in the California Superior Courts.
