YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TODAY!
We need to urge the Legislature and Governor to oppose the cuts to child development. A budget package will be adopted by June 15, 2012, the time to act is NOW!
1. Contact your local Senators and Assemblymembers where you live and work. Let them know you are a constituent, and give them your address in the message. Call their local office or write or e-mail them. The e-mail address for all legislators (enter your own legislator's name) is assembly.lastname@assembly.ca.gov or senator.lastname@senate.ca.gov.
2. Call their Sacramento office, write or e-mail the top 8 legislators who will decide what cuts go into the budget:

3. Most Importantly, call, write or e-mail the Governor to tell him that he needs to save child development programs for low income working parents and for the children. That the best policy is to have all child development programs in the Department of Education, including CalWORKs Stage 1.
