Arlington, VA, and Rockville, MD - March 22, 2016 - As the health sector pursues collaboration in order to add value in a rapidly changing marketplace, so too are opportunities for collaboration between the Association for University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) emerging to add value to healthcare management education.  On January 5, 2016, the executive leadership of CAHME and AUPHA met to identify opportunities to capitalize on the strengths of both organizations.  A number of initiatives were considered and we agreed to continue to pursue several opportunities for collaboration.  In the short run, we agreed to communicate our joint commitment; to plan one meeting of the Boards annually to facilitate communication; and to integrate data collection and data access for AUPHA members and CAHME accredited programs.  At the same time, leadership of both organizations will continue to meet regularly to ensure that we continue to work together to meet our constituents' needs.
