CAIR-Minnesota: Video from 2015 Just Posted Online Shows Walmart Employee Harassing Muslim Customer

(MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 9/17/18) --  The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) today said a video from 2015, which was just posted online, shows a Walmart employee in Bloomington, Minn., harassing a Muslim customer. That Walmart employee is no longer working at the store.

In the video, the Walmart employee is rude to a Muslim customer in Islamic attire seeking to try on clothing in a fitting room. The Walmart staffer is heard telling a colleague who sought to clean the fitting room: “If she [the Muslim customer] wants to go in, she can go into a dirty one.” The Walmart employee is also heard saying: “They think they own us. And I’m sick of this “sh*t. . .They think they own the world.”

The Walmart staffer then proceeds to watch under the door of the fitting room while the Muslim customer is inside.
