The quality of artwork and quantity of sales from The Shop has created the need to re-imagine our process and put forth extra effort to take The Shop to the next level for 2017. This fresh approach is intended to include more benefits and chances for exposure for the artists. This new vision for The Shop includes two opportunities for exposure, The Shop Artists of 2017 and The Artist of the Month.
Benefits for The Shop Artists of 2017:
- Twenty-five artists selected by The Shop Committee provides a focused vision for The Shop and more space for each artist.
- Artists will be routinely featured on all 108 social media platforms.
- Each artist will receive an "Exchange Schedule," which allows him or her to routinely change out artwork, and visitors to see new works from the artists each month.
- A new software system will allow our shop members to track their personal inventory and sales from any device with internet access.
Benefits for The Artist of the Month:
- Another opportunity for artists not selected for The Shop Artists of 2017
- A highlighted feature space within The Shop
- 10% discount for patrons from the 108-commission portion
- Social media exposure
- Free membership for the following year
- An opportunity to be featured in an exclusive video interview or studio tour promoted in gallery and online
- Recognized on our postcard promotions for our exhibitions
- $250 stipend to create new and innovative work for the featured month

- 5-10 images that best represent your body of work

- Provide a brief proposal of 250 - 300 words that describes how you would use the stipend, how this opportunity would elevate your body of work, and how your new work would contribute to the world of contemporary fine craft.

Submissions are free and applicants are able to apply to both opportunities but cannot be selected for both.
