2018 TENNESSEE ARTS ACADEMY
GUITAR DESIGN CONTEST 
The Tennessee Arts Academy is proud to announce the third year for its  TAA Guitar Design Contest . This is an exciting opportunity to  customize an acoustic guitar with your own original artwork ! This contest is open to all 2018 Tennessee Arts Academy visual art participants and/or students of the 2018 participants. Other TAA participants with a visual art background are welcome to enter as well.  Winning designs will be selected prior to the Academy, allowing the participant to bring the completed guitar to the 2018 Academy. Guitars will be displayed online as well as at several events including, but not limited to, the visual art crawl, Academy performances, and during lunchtime. The winning artists will be acknowledged during the Academy as their designed guitar is auctioned to raise awareness of the SYNERGY between visual art and music to raise funds for TAA. 



Past TAA Guitar Design Contest Winners

PHASE 1: Contest and Template Submission
DEADLINE: March 26

1. Create your own unique guitar art on the guitar template!

2. Email designed template and entry form to [email protected] by March 26, 2018.

PHASE 2: Guitar Design Implementation
April 2 - July 8, 2018

1. Winning guitars are available for pick up the week of April 2nd by contacting the TAA office and making arrangements for pick up or, in some cases, the guitar may be mailed to the winning TAA visual art participant.

2. The finished designed guitars are due to the TAA office by Sunday, July 8th, as you arrive at Belmont University for the Academy.

3. Guitars will be displayed and auctioned online July 1 - July 12. (Note: Online auction bidding will be accessible to anyone with Internet access who wishes to participate.)

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY
 
The contest is designed for 2018 TAA visual art teacher participants, but is open to any 2018 TAA participant who wishes to submit a design, as well as to the students of these participants.
