Weekly Updates         June 10, 2016
Hope UMC in Canal Winchester was awarded the
One Matters Award at the West Ohio Annual Conference

God rejoices when even one person joins the kingdom-work being done here on earth - so why doesn't the Church? In an effort to do exactly that, the West Ohio Conference has created a new initiative, called One Matters, which celebrates local congregations doing extraordinary work to build God's kingdom on earth. These churches are reaching out to the communities around them, extending the love and grace of Jesus Christ to the least and the lost.
In 2015 Hope UMC in Canal Winchester under the leadership of Rev. Linda Wallack and Rev. Ben Foulk received seven members by profession of faith and baptized four individuals.  Pastor Wallack organized the church's first confirmation class in a few years of six confirmands.  One of the students and her sister were baptized at that time.  Later in the year Pastor Foulk welcomed new members, including one by profession of faith.  Additionally, a father and his young son were baptized.

continues to unfold in the aftermath of the genocide in which 2 million Cambodians were killed. Be inspired, and  reflect on how God is calling you to make a difference. See her schedule here.
Please share these updates with others in your congregation!
