District Conference - May 15th - 3:00 pm

Join us on Pentecost Sunday for a time of worship followed by the  CAS annual business meeting!  

We will vote on the 2017 budget, committee members, and present information about the upcoming West Ohio Annual Conference at Lakeside. We will honor those who are retiring and those who will become provisional elders. All clergy and lay persons in the CAS District are invited and have a vote. Please plan to attend.

Two Capitol Area South United Methodists will receive awards this year at the 25th Annual Living Faith Awards Breakfast on May 26 in Columbus.
 
Living Faith Awards will be presented to Katelin Hansen, Community Development for All People, Columbus; and Tom Helber, Hope United Methodist Church, Canal Winchester.

Camps 2013
Summer Camp One Day Adventure
 
West Ohio Camps offer a day camp experience for children who have never been to camp or those who just love spending the day at a camp. On June 8, 9 or 10, Camps Otterbein, Wesley and Widewater will run One Day Adventures for children ages 6-13. The cost is $20 for the day and includes lunch, snack and beverages. The day runs 9:30-4 with swimming, archery, games, hiking, worship and campfire. Bring swim suits and towels. Parents may stay for the day or come back by 3:30 for a Meet the Camp Director session. Parent or guardian may register their children at camp, or in advance by going to the website westohiocamps.org. Call 614-781-2630 for more information.

MTSO announces Doctor of Ministry degree in Ecology, Justice and Ministry
                                                                                                  
The Doctor of Ministry program at Methodist Theological School in Ohio will offer a new specialization in 2016: Ecology, Justice and Ministry. Those enrolling in MTSO's D.Min. program may choose either the new specialization or Leadership for Transformational Change.  

The next cohort of Doctor of Ministry students will begin studies July 25 with a week of classes on campus. The application deadline is May 31. More information and an application form are at www.mtso.edu/doctorofministry.
