Important tax information for Church Treasurers and Clergy
Go to West Ohio UMC for important information about changes to city income taxes in 2016, and for information on possible tax refunds due to clergy who were employed in municipalities and had city income taxes withheld for 2012 - 2015.
The last day to submit 2015 apportionments will be Monday, January 11, 2016. 

Year end reports have been mailed to churches. Data will again be entered online and should be completed by January 29, 2016.  

VIM Trip:   Medical Mission, Democratic Republic of Congo

Date: July 9th - July 19th (Monday 11th-Sunday 17th in Kamina, DRC)
Location: Kamina, Democratic Republic of Congo
Purpose of trip: Train and serve with Congolese UMC doctors and nurses at the Shungu Medical Clinic.

Participants requested: Doctors, nurses, public health care professionals. Specialist such as: surgeon, gynecologist, ENT, emergency room, dentist, dental hygienist, radiologist, ultrasound user, ophthalmologist.

Group size: 11 Maximum
Trip cost estimate: $3,000

Trip opportunities:
  • Train professional nurses and nursing students in specialty techniques and procedures.
  • Perform medical procedures side-by-side Congolese medical personnel, training whenever possible.
  • Plan future medical partnership with the Congolese doctors and nurses.
  • Remote teaching & learning coordination
  • Visit other parts of the community to help understand the culture, economy, living conditions, worship, education system and history. Tours will include: medical clinic, elementary school, nursing college, teaching college, Kamina University, churches, orphanage, children feeding center, and the countryside
CAS Staff will be away from the office December 21-January 3 to spend time with their families.
