CASA Makes A Powerful Impact

More often than not, youth in the foster care system find they don't have a single person to share in their accomplishments, milestones, and successes. But a CASA can change all of that; having just one caring adult who is genuinely invested in a child's well-being can make all the difference. Pictured right is a young lady who has been in and out of foster care most of her life, however, a little over 2 years ago, she was assigned to a CASA. Since day one, her advocate has gone above and beyond to provide that crucial support all youth need in order to lead healthy productive lives, including organizing birthday celebrations and attending after school sports meets. Although this particular young lady may not find permanency through adoption or legal guardianship, she will always have a permanent and lasting connection with her CASA.
2016 National Philanthropy Day Honoree

CASA is pleased to be honoring advocate Jean Murray with the 2016 Outstanding Philanthropist Award on Nov. 15th during the annual National Philanthropy Day Dinner. Since 2012, Jean has worked with three teens, supporting their educational needs, addressing their physical and emotional well-being, and ultimately ensuring these children were treated with dignity and respect throughout their duration in foster care. Jean's dedication and passion for youth is evident in her advocacy; the unwavering commitment, endless hours, and countless miles truly embodies the definition of philanthropy. Thank you, Jean, for your service to foster youth, CASA, and our community.

CASA Holiday Project
& 12 Days of Giving

CASA is getting ready to kick off the holiday season and the annual Holiday Project! Through this project, we provide essential needs items and gifts for every foster child from San Benito County.  If you are interested in supporting the CASA Holiday Project, there are a few ways to get involved:

Monetary donations will be used to purchase gifts and essential needs items for the children.

We are excited to share that we are again partnering with the 12 Days of Giving Campaign made possible by the Community Foundation, United Way, Tiffany Ford, True Leaf Farms, Pierce Real Estate and generous business sponsors.
This means  monetary donations made to CASA for the Holiday Project  between Nov. 12 - Nov. 29 will be matched
What better way to make your contribution go even further toward helping foster children this holiday season?  Checks can be made directly to CASA, please be sure to note "12 Days of Giving" in the memo to ensure your contribution is matched, or if you prefer to make your donation online, you may do so here ; please be sure to note CASA in the purpose/designation field.

"Adopt" a child: we will provide you with a list of the child's needs and wishes, and an individual or group can "adopt" the child by providing these items. If you would like to "adopt" a child, please contact us before Nov. 21.

We are also seeking the following items (new, and unwrapped) for children of all ages: educational, board, or card games, books, and gift cards. We will be accepting these items through Dec. 5.
