Amazon, Amazon, Amazon - Better Take a Look Here
Amazon must have loved recently announcing that major traditional aftermarket suppliers have agreed to support their new push. Manufacturers and distributors-to- retailers/jobber/service shops resisted selling Amazon direct for fear of channel retaliation. Now that almost all items are available through Amazon Marketplace, direct selling of most popular SKUs to Amazon is snowballing. Amazon, eBay or Alibaba have not missed noticing the multi-billion dollar parts opportunities. With vehicle parts sales through electronic channels reaching $7.5 billion last year, why have legacy channel players (fancy description of traditional distributors) continuously under-rated the Amazon effect for 20 years? California's Minimum Wage to Increase to $11 and $10.50 per Hour - January 1, 2018
Minimum wage Under landmark legislation to increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour over time, California's minimum wage will increase on January 1 to $11 per hour for employers with 26 employees or more and $10.50 for employers with 25 or fewer employees. State law requires that most California workers be paid the minimum wage. Some cities and counties have a local minimum wage that is higher than the state rate. Employers must post information on wages, hours and working conditions at a worksite area accessible to employees. Notices for the wage orders in English and Spanish can be downloaded and printed from the workplace postings page on the DIR website. For more details, click here. How to Build Relationships in Your Organization and with Vendors
We all know relationships are important with clients. If you own the relationship with a client account, you most likely own the business. Just as important as client relationships are the relationships within your organization and with vendors who help your business run smoothly. Problems in these relationships usually lead to problems in client accounts, which could result in lost business. You also spend a good amount of time with vendors and co-workers, so the better your relationships with them, the more pleasant your work life will be. All of that said, how do you ensure good, solid relationships within your organization and with vendors? (view here) Source: John Chapin
