Educate Your Customer and Their Customers - How to Responsibly Recycle Your Car Battery
lead battery
Lead-acid batteries are the most recycled consumer product, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. At a 99 percent recycling rate, that is more than paper, glass and cardboard. In fact, the typical new lead-acid battery contains 60 to 80 percent recycled lead and plastic. With more than 1 billion vehicles on the road across the globe, there's a constant stream of batteries in need of recycling. Getting rid of an old car battery isn't quite as simple as throwing the old one away. Each lead-acid car battery contains about 20 pounds of lead - which is a significant amount and is quite valuable. Lead-acid batteries can be easily recycled, and in some cases, you can get paid for your efforts. See recommendations here.

The Most Important Sales Conversation
Sales Success There is a much overlooked aspect of sales success that is rarely talked about and people pay little attention to, it is: self-talk. The most important conversation is the one you have with yourself. The reason that conversation is so important is because the words and language you use both reveal and reinforce your beliefs about yourself and the world. Those beliefs dictate the action you take, or don't take, and ultimately determine success or failure. If you have a problem selling, you more than likely have a self-talk problem.

The difference between the top salespeople and everyone else, is that the top people became aware of their negative self-talk and beliefs and reprogrammed their language and beliefs to positive ones, or, they were one of the lucky few who received positive programming right from the get go. The latter by the way is the exception, most of us received negative programming growing up. Either way, if you want to become a champion, you need to ensure that your self-talk is positive, upbeat, and supports you. More here. Source: John Chapin

The High Stakes Aftermarket Telematics Game
Telematics By 2020, 90 percent of the vehicles sold in the U.S. will be equipped with technology that communicates with the OE vehicle manufacturer and their dealer network. The OE dealer network will receive trouble codes and symptoms the moment they occur. You can be sure they'll use that information to their advantage to proactively market service to the vehicle owner. This will create a disadvantage for the independent aftermarket when it comes to servicing the computer-controlled (nearly everything) components of a modern vehicle. Read more here. DACA Decision: Employer Update
The U.S. Supreme Court's recent denial of a Trump administration bid to expedite a legal challenge to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program means, for the time being, employers can continue to legally employ Dreamers with DACA status.
