Our Mission:
We exist to magnify God and spread a passion for His glory by making disciples and shepherding them to value Jesus Christ above everything else.
Joni's Faithful God
by Pastor Patrick Carmichael
I remember exactly where I was the very first time I heard Joni Eareckson Tada sing. I was sitting in a church pew, listening intently along with thousands of others captivated by her voice, and I was completely in awe of what I was seeing. First, I was in awe that she could sing. I was too young to really know much about quadriplegia, but I could see a wheelchair, I could see the struggle to breathe, and putting two and two together, I just figured it wouldn't really be possible to belt out a tune. But it is and she did! Second, I was in awe that she was singing!...joyful, glad, celebratory singing. How can someone confined to a chair for the rest of her life sing with so much joy? She had lost so much! What reason did she have to sing, to be happy, to celebrate? It was clear to me in that moment that the God I believed in was significantly smaller than the infinitely large God that brought indomitable joy to Joni's heart. I truly believe that that moment was used by God to work in my heart a greater faith in God, a greater trust in Him, and a Divine preparation of my heart for my own trials that I would experience.

Whether it is through Joni and Friends  Family Retreats or Wheels for the World (both of which members of our church have served), or through her books which have been read by millions, Joni has pointed people to a God Who is sovereign in the midst of suffering, Who never wastes one tear that we shed, but uses every single moment of our lives to bring Him the greatest glory and to produce in us the greatest good. And as she recently reflected on 50 years of being in her wheelchair, many others wrote of the influence she had in their lives and the many lessons that had been passed down by her to them, speaking into moments of incredible heartache and pain. So whatever suffering, whatever trials, whatever difficulty you are experiencing this day, may we all be able to say with steadfast hearts that are confidently assured, "It is well with my soul!"

The link below is to a post from a dear brother from seminary days. Follow the links in his post to a video of Joni sharing her testimony. I would encourage everyone to watch it! Also there is a link to her books on Amazon.
