Thank you for supporting the Avoice Heritage Celebration!
The eighth annual
Avoice Heritage Celebration took place on March 29. It was a powerful evening that paid homage to three awardees for their outstanding contributions to education and the African-American community.
Funds raised through the Heritage Celebration support the Avoice virtual library.
The Honorable Robert C. Scott, Beverly Bond, and The Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown Family Foundation were on hand to receive Avoice Heritage Awards. The evening also included a screening and discussion of the docu-series, America Divided: The Class Divide.
Led by CBCF president and CEO, A. Shaunise Washington, the delegation spent eight days in and around Tokyo learning Japanese culture and business. While there, the delegation met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and visited several Japanese landmarks including Mt. Fuji and the Tokoyo Imperial Palace.
