Meeting Spotlight
"Living Sober with HIV/Hep C" - Tuesdays @ 6:00pm

This Crystal Meth Anonymous group was founded in the mid-2000's by longtime Castro Country Club volunteer Dan Collins (1949-2007), who also founded the Finding Fellowship Retreat for recovering crystal meth addicts in 2005. Originally held at the former Metropolitan Community Church, the Living Sober meeting has been held at the CCC for several years.

There is a special focus on HIV and Hep C, but all are welcome at this popular meeting, which alternates between Speaker/Discussion and Topic/Discussion formats.

A Word From the Chair

I’m excited to fill you in on the Castro Country Club’s progress; the future looks bright!

First, after over a decade of service with the CCC, our manager Terry Beswick is taking a new position as the Executive Director of the GLBT Historical Society. Terry played a critical role in the survival of the club and helped us develop the organization into what it is today. We are grateful for all he has done and wish him all the best. Congratulations Terry!

And thanks to Terry and countless others, the Club is stronger than ever and ready to build on its success. Over the past 14 months the CCC Advisory Board has added eight new board members with a wide array of essential skills. We will continue to support our capable assistant managers Louis Cullen and Billy Lemon in serving the Club’s critical mission.

I want to express my sincere gratitude with you. I am continually humbled and moved by the enthusiasm, dedication and motivation of our volunteers, donors, and community. It is because of your involvement that the CCC exists and continues to be a safe haven for LGBT people in recovery and our allies. Thank you for all you do, your continued support, and for making this remarkable community thrive!

Stay tuned for the great things to come this year!
