Meet Kendall Farms
Kendall Farms Featured at Vons "Meet the Flower Farmer" Event

The continued "Meet the Flower Farmer" focus by retailers is a welcome change in the promotion and marketing of flowers at retail.  This weekend, Kendall Farms enjoyed the opportunity to be featured at another "Meet the Flower Farmer" by Vons/Safeway at their Solana Beach location.

Kendall Farms President Troy Conners shared:

"It was great to interact with customers, learn more about what matters to them and share what we do at our family farm that is directly in line with those concerns.  It was exciting to see their appreciation and support for our California Grown flowers.  People certainly want local."

Collaborating Locally for AgriCulture
Monterey Bay Greenhouse Open House Collaborates with Santa Cruz Farm Bureau

This weekend CCFC's Event Coordinator Kathleen Williford shared the success of the Monterey Bay Greenhouse Growers Open House with attendees of the Santa Cruz Farm Bureau's AgriCulture dinner event.  AgriCulture is a progressive dinner that is meant to help highlight the value of agriculture in Santa Cruz County.
The table was set for an important opportunity to tell our story.

Williford worked with Santa Cruz Farm Bureau Executive Director Jess Brown to host the dinner portion of the event at CCFC Commissioner Jennifer Everett's farm, California Floral Greens.

"It was an awesome event," shared Williford.  "People were very impressed with our early success as an event and really impressed that we've raised over $26,000 for local non-profits.  Something we can all be proud of."
