AFFIRMATION
I am a spiritual butterfly.
This Sunday at CCL

 "Chrysalis (Autumn Equinox)"

with Rev. Doti Boon

Doti announcments      Each one of us is changing from moment to moment. We cannot stop these changes any more than one can stop the tides in the ocean or the seasons of the earth. It's a part of natural life. Yet most of us are apprehensive of change. In response, our spirit leads us to situations and people to assist with our growth and our awakening.
Join Rev. Doti Boon this Sunday as she discusses how we can allow our spirit to emerge - creating its own spiritual metamorphosis.

Spiritual Chrysalis
by Rev. Doti Boon

To look at a butterfly is to look at a "biological miracle". A young caterpillar or moth will pass through several stages, to form its chrysalis (protected space for development), allowing it to transform its physical form, and then finally emerge as its magnificent self.
In fact, if you were to cut into the pupa or cocoon during this physical transformation all you would find would be green "guck". No caterpillar, no butterfly - just a bunch of slime. Vertebrates never go through such a transformation like this physically...but do we do this spiritually? Absolutely! Haven't you ever felt like that?
Think of the slow moving caterpillar as first moving into that void and then awakening in a new body. A glorious beautiful fast moving body with wings and the ability to fly.
When you move into your spirituality and your own spiritual self - quite often you go through that time of nothingness or "midnight of the Soul", then to emerge ready to fly.
Imagine you have been living in a small restricted space your entire life. You fantasize about feeling free and having the ability to move gracefully through life. However you are held in one small area by your beliefs, disappointments, prejudices and feeling of lack. Nevertheless, you feel drawn to get out of your old patterns of behavior, and see what a new space has to offer. Quite often this is brought about by a feeling of nothingness, sometimes abject pain and suffering where you retreat to that void - the nothingness or pupa state.
After a time - for some it takes years - you become aware that you are much more than your human self, the who-you thought you were. You start to awaken to who you really are. This is your Spiritual Awakening, the time you realize you are a Spiritual Being having a caterpillar existence this is the time you feel yourself emerging from the "guck".
I have always wanted to offer a place where one can learn, become more open, be awakened and transformed into their spiritual essence and this dream has resulted in The Center For Creative Living. Through classes, lectures, healings whether it be mind, body or spirit you will find the tools and resources for spiritual transformation. I hope our gifts of intuition and mediumship not only bring healing into your life, but bring about the change that you are hoping for in your heart of hearts to create that spiritual metamorphosis.
Please join me this Sunday as I discuss in detail how you can achieve your own spiritual flight!

You may go to the CCL meetup calendar:

 A Little Story

I believe I have written this before - but it always makes me laugh:
Only women of a certain era will fully appreciate this (if you don't understand - tell it to your mother, she'll get it):
A Michigan woman and her family were vacationing in a small New England town where Paul Newman and his family often visited.
One Sunday morning, the woman got up early to take a long walk. After a brisk five-mile hike, she decided to treat herself to a double-dip chocolate ice cream cone. She hopped in her car, drove to the center of the village and went straight to the combination bakery/ice cream parlor. There was only one other patron in the store, Paul Newman, sitting at the counter having a doughnut and coffee. The woman's heart skipped a beat as her eyes made contact with his famous baby-blues.
The actor nodded and the star struck woman smiled demurely. Pull yourself together! She chides herself. You're a happily married woman with three children, you're forty-five years old, not a teenager!
The clerk filled her order and she took the double-dip chocolate ice cream cone in one hand and her change in the other. Then she went out the door, avoiding even a glance in Paul Newman's direction.
When she reached her car, she realized that she had a handful of change but her other hand was empty. Where's my ice cream cone? Did I leave it in the store?
Back into the shop she went, expecting to see the cone on the counter. No ice cream cone in sight. With that, she happened to look over at Paul Newman.
His face broke into that familiar, warm, friendly grin and he said to her, 'You put it in your purse.'
Butterflies

Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."
