February Adoption Promotion

If you are into astrology, you might think along those lines in selecting a feline friend for your home.  We have fascinating felines born under every sign of the universe and of every personality type.  Even if astrology isn't your thing, we're sure that you can still find that special cat to be the love of your life!  We are offering reduced adoption fees of $65 on all cats one year and older during the month of February.   Please give a special cat a forever home his month!

Please visit our  Facebook page for more information.

Visit our website to view all our cats available for adoption.

Note: our standard adoption  screening process applies to this promotion. Further, for cats age ten and older and cats with chronic medical problems we offer our Perpet-U-Care Program which provides
$250 of veterinary care services at the CCS Cat Clinic annually.
Opt To Adopt Magic
Hi there, my name is Magic!  I'm a sweet lady who is looking for a family to love me!  I was living outside, and was found by a nice family who took me in to their home.  The cats that already lived there were not impressed by me, and they tried to chase me off!   That was pretty hard on me because I'm a friendly girl. When the family decided that couldn't keep me, they found me this wonderful place to stay until I find a family of my own.  It's nice here, but I really want my own space and a family to cuddle up with.  I love to play, and I want to spend a lot of my time with some new human friends.  Why don't you come in and see me?  I would love to join your family.

You can read more about Magic on her adopt-a-pet page:

The Colfax Marathon
May 20-21, 2017
The Colfax Marathon is May 20-21, 2017
and this year you can support Cat Care Society!
We are looking for a minimum of 20 runners to register for this year's Colfax Marathon and select Cat Care Society as their supporting charity. If we can meet this goal, we will have a booth in the charity partner village.

Don't run? That's ok! If we can get at least 40 people to walk we can still reach the goal and get a booth in the charity partner village
(2 walkers = 1 runner).

The best part of participating in the Colfax Marathon, Cat Care Society will receive 92% of the registration fee for every person who registers and selects Cat Care Society as their charity. You also have the option to add the 8% fee back before you complete your registration, which will result in Cat Care Society receiving 100% of the registration fee!

Call your friends and get a group together and register for the 2017 Colfax Marathon and support Cat Care Society on your registration!
Please don't forget to select Cat Care Society as your charity!
All proceeds from the Colfax Marathon will benefit the shelter cats with food, litter and medical care.

We are thrilled to announce the installation of our upgraded standard film X-ray machine to a digital model!
Digital standard X-rays will streamline patient care as it will allow our veterinary care team to review X-rays digitally on the computer. This will reduce the time required to take X-rays of a patient and it will provide the option of sharing patient X-rays electronically.
Thank you to the Lauretta Boyd Charitable Trust. They awarded Cat Care Society with a $20,000 grant to purchase the digital X-ray conversion kit for The Cat Clinic.

We are committed to providing the highest quality care for your feline family. During the last year, we have expanded our veterinary services to include extended hours, in-house bloodwork, urine culture testing, ultrasound testing and Royal Canin prescription food. In addition, we offer additional surgery options, dental procedures using our digital dental X-ray unit and more efficient X-rays using our digital standard X-ray unit.

With our
veterinary care team in place, our clinic equipment upgrades and our expanded services, we can serve you, our loyal and valued clients, even better!

Sponsoring the Shelter Golden Heart for $2,500 will help us provide approximately 4 months of litter to the shelter cats. Annually, we use 19,200 pounds (480 bags) of cat litter each year at a cost of $7,200.

Sponsoring the Kitten Room Golden Heart for $1,500 will help us provide 28 spay surgeries, 25 neuter surgeries, 60 rabies vaccines, and 35 FVRCP vaccines to the shelter kittens. Annually, we spend approximately $33,000 on medical procedures and general medical care for the shelter cats and kittens.

Sponsoring one of theGolden Heart rooms for $100 will help a number of cats.  $100 will buy 7 bags of cat litter which will provide litter to the a typical room for approximately 1 week.

Nibbles & Kibbles Food Bank
Nibbles 'n' Kibbles is Cat Care Society's program to offer free cat food and cat litter to people who are experiencing temporary financial challenges. This helps them continue to care for their cats, which may be one of their few comforts during this time. It also helps prevent them from turning the cats loose on the streets, neglecting them, or taking them to a shelter.

We have partnered with The Action Center (formerly JeffCo Action Center) to provide vouchers. The Action Center distributes the vouchers to their clients who are in need of cat food and litter.

Please Help!
You can help by offering donations of dry and canned cat food and cat litter.  Please clearly mark your donation as for Nibbles 'n' Kibbles, and drop them off at the shelter during shelter hours. We can provide a receipt for you for tax purposes.
