Note: our standard adoption  screening process applies to this promotion. Further, for cats age ten and older and cats with chronic medical problems we offer our Perpet-U-Care Program which provides
$250 of veterinary care services at the CCS Cat Clinic annually.
Grey Kitty's Birthday
Saturday, Sept 8th

Please put this event on your calendar for this weekend, September 8th, at Tagawa Gardens.  Every year they celebrate Grey Kitty's birthday, a very special cat to the Gardens. It is an opportunity for the community to meet those who work in animal rescue care, and to benefit the many animals in our city in need of loving homes.  Cat Care Society will have a booth at the event with several of our sociable kittens for the visitors to interact with.  We will also have literature available to educate visitors about our shelter and its mission.  See the lovely gardens and enjoy this family event!  11 to 3PM, 7711 S. Parker Road in Centennial. Read Grey Kitty's Story here and view directions.

Opt to Adopt Jackie

Meet pretty Jackie.  She is a very sweet 5 year old girl who came to us as a mother kitty.  All of her babies have been adopted and she would love to find a caring family.  Jackie should be the only cat in the home as she doesn't care for other cats.  She loves to curl up with you and get head scratches.  Jackie is a playful kitty too...one of her favorite toys is a cardboard box!

You can read more about Jackie on her Adopt-a-Pet page:
Please think about donating a Kuranda cat bed to Cat Care Society for the comfort and enjoyment of our cats.  Cats love these high perches as it gives them a safe place to curl up, and also a great view from high up.  They are ideal for shelter cats; in fact, the kittens have one in their room.  Please click here for more information and to donate a bed at a discounted price.  Thank you for your support!

August Adoptions

A ugust was a wonderful month for many of the cats in our care.  52 cats, including 40 kittens, found their forever homes.  Two of our older cats, Gomez and Mrs. Potts, were also adopted.  And especially heartwarming...our geriatric pair, Oscar and Thomas, found a new family to love!

Stop by the Meow Mart after the seminar and pick up a new  toy for your furry friend.
Did you know?

  1. Slow blinking by cats is a sign of trust and affection. Try doing it back to your cat; slow blinking is received mutually!
  2. A group of cats is called a "clowder."
  3. Adult cats only meow to communicate with humans.

Bakers and crafters...start planning now what you will create for our annual Santa Paws event to be held December 1st and 2nd.  We will also be accepting cat themed items and books for the Holiday Market and the Book Nook. We will notify readers when we are ready to accept donations.
