March Adoption Promotion

Even though National Alien Abduction Day is not until March 20th, you need to be on the lookout all month and our cats can help!  Cats are a natural defense against aliens because of their purrs which emanate a sound wave that drives them away.  Adopt an alien eliminator cat this month and you can spin the wheel for a chance at a reduced adoption fee!  Please stop by the shelter and see if your special furry friend is waiting there for you.

Please visit our Facebook page for more information.

Visit our website to view all our cats available for adoption.

Note: our standard adoption  screening process applies to this promotion. Further, for cats age ten and older and cats with chronic medical problems we offer our Perpet-U-Care Program which provides
$250 of veterinary care services at the CCS Cat Clinic annually.
Opt To Adopt Indri
Indri is looking for her forever home!  This little girl is a talkative 4 year old who loves sunshine and chatting with her human friends! She is a small cat with a big personality.  Indri is tolerant of her feli ne roommates, but would be happier as an only kitty, especially with her dietary needs.  Indri cannot properly digest her food as her body can't absorb the nutrition in it.  She is on a prescription diet food, Royal Canin Select Protein Rabbit (or Duck) and Green Pea for malabsorption syndrome.  She also needs a prescription dietary supplement added to every meal.  Her food is a bit pricey, with the canned costing about $3.50 a can (she eats 1-2 cans daily), and the dry costing about $69 a bag (which lasts for several months).  She is also on an oral steroid to decrease inflammation in her digestive system.
Indri is part of our Perpet-U-Care program because of her special diet and digestive health.  Please click the link to find out more:

The Colfax Marathon
May 20-21, 2017

The Colfax Marathon is May 20-21, 2017
and this year you can support Cat Care Society!
We are looking for a minimum of 20 runners to register for this year's Colfax Marathon and select Cat Care Society as their supporting charity. If we can meet this goal, we will have a booth in the charity partner village.

Don't run? That's ok! If we can get at least 40 people to walk we can still reach the goal and get a booth in the charity partner village
(2 walkers = 1 runner).

Call your friends and get a group together and register for the 2017 Colfax Marathon and support Cat Care Society on your registration!
Please don't forget to select Cat Care Society as your charity!
All proceeds from the Colfax Marathon will benefit the shelter cats with food, litter and medical care.

Shop Amazon Smile and Help the Cats!
CCS houses between 75 to 100 cats and kittens at our shelter year round. That means every year we go through at least 31 large bags of cat food each month (large being at least 16lbs), and 870 cans of wet food each month. And that's not even counting the food we provide to families in need with our Nibbles'Kibbles program.

As you can see we always need a lot of cat food! So please think of us when you are purchasing food for your cats at home. You can even use AmazonSmile and schedule recurring donations to come every month, every two months, or on whatever schedule you prefer!

Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice.
AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.
We hope you will support Cat Care Society by starting your shopping at smile.amazon.com.
  • It's that easy, so if you are shopping on Amazon you can easily help our cats at the same time!
King Soopers Gift Cards

Our King Soopers gift card program continues to be a major source of income for Cat Care Society.  As of January, 2017, we have raised $40,797 of revenue to help support our cats and our mission.  This averages out to about $700 each month.
With spring approaching, the season for more baking and festive meals is upon us.  If you do not have a gift card to use for your shopping, please consider getting one.  Every time you reload it, 5% of the funds go directly to our shelter, and you still have 100% to use for your purchases at King Soopers.  You may get the cards at CCS at the front desk.
