The event is a fun and innovative academic competition that engages grade 5-8 students in learning about important chemistry concepts, scientific discoveries, and laboratory safety. 2012-2013 ONLINE APPLICATIONS
Admissions applications are now being accepted for Kindergarten 2012-2013. Applications for students entering grades 1-12 next fall will be accepted beginning February 16. Applications should be submitted online.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
SPELLING BEE DISTRICT CHAMP
Congratulations to fifth grader Allison Strange who won the first place title at the Regional ACSI District Spelling Bee! Allison competed in two different bees. She earned a gold medal for the best in the fifth grade bee and a plaque for the best in the "Spelloff" held for all of the 5th-8th grade contestants that were in first or second place. Her achievement in the "Spelloff" qualified her to participate in the Dallas Spelling Bee in March.
MATH OLYMPICS

Elementary Rodeo Art
Elementary art students competed in the Private and Christian School District area of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Contest. Click here for a list of winners.
Rodeo Art Gold Medalist
Congratulations to fourth grader Katie Bretz whose artwork (above) will be displayed in the Hayloft Gallery at the 2012 Houston Livestock and Rodeo. She will also be competing against the winners from the area public school districts.
Secondary Rodeo Art

ATHLETICS ULTIMATE CY-FAIR STUDENT OF THE WEEK

SOCCER
Varsity soccer is in the post-season with the girls and boys. Our girls team earned third place honors and boys earned District Runner-up honors. This puts both teams in the State play-off bracket. Playoff games this weekend: The Lady Warriors will take on Colleyville Covenant in a game that will be played at Fort Worth Christian on Saturday, February 4 at noon. The Varsity Boys Soccer Team are excited about the challenge of facing Carrollton Christian. The Warriors will play at Argyle Christian with the game starting at 3PM.
Middle school soccer was strong at CCS. The girls and the boys had winning seasons.
BASKETBALL
Varsity basketball moves into post-season play beginning February 13. The girls are currently in second place and the boys are tied for third. The JV programs had successful seasons as well.
Middle school basketball had a successful season. The girls and boys A and B teams played hard and finished strong.
