Note from Mrs. Carmichael
Dear CCSMS Families,

This week I encourage you to explore with your scholar what it means to be responsible, respectful, and ready to learn. Many of our conversations during the day with Riptide scholars involve these three Rs before we get around to the "old school" traditional 3 Rs of education: reading, writing, and arithmetic. All of them are important to your scholar's success, but we need to your help to make sure your scholar is arriving at school ready for a great day.

Easy ways to help us:
  • Help your scholar organize their backpack so they are ready for class.
  • Check to make sure they have a sharp pencil and paper. (We would love some donations of pencils for our scholars - I am not sure where they disappear. Please send them to the front office.)
  • Talk to them about the importance of their education and your expectations.

As we near the end of the first term it is important for scholars finish up assignments and projects that are due. If scholars have questions they should follow up with their teachers. Our teachers are all happy to provide extra support and help, but our scholars need to ask.
