Greetings from CDOT
We are diligently working on getting the 2017 Operating grant agreements out.  Please make sure you process them promptly so we can get everyone on board for January 1, 2017.

A reminder that the consolidated capital call is open until November 30.  With the holiday in between, please don't procrastinate.  If there are any glitches, we want to be able to resolve them in plenty of time to allow you to submit your requests.

DTR is pleased to be able to participate in the upcoming FTA Region VIII State Network Workshop in Denver, November 15 and 16.  This is an opportunity for the states in the region to get together and for staff to network and interact.  This is the first time we've been able to do this in a few years and we're excited.  This gives DTR staff the opportunity to meet our counterparts from the other Region VIII states and share information and best practices.

For those of you who operate 5311 programs, our consultant and friend, Bev Krieger has announced her retirement from Precision Compliance, the company that CDOT has hired to perform Drug & Alcohol compliance reviews and technical assistance.  She has sold the company to RLS Associates, significantly increasing our access to resources.  We are extremely pleased that Linda DeHererra will be continuing on with the company, providing a smooth transition and regional knowledge to RLS Associates.  We are sad to see Bev leaving the business although we're reasonably certain she will stick around in some capacity.   We wish Bev all the best in her retirement.

Please join us in celebrating the courage and sacrifice of our military servicemen and women this past Friday, November 11 for Veteran's Day and please, be safe out there.

A Special Message from
Rob Andreson-Tenance
I am excited to announce that I have accepted the position of Manager of Specialized Transportation for Pierce Transit in Lakewood, Washington and will be leaving CDOT (and Colorado) effective November 25.  This opportunity represents a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to experiencing life in the Pacific Northwest.

I began my tenure here in Colorado when First Transit was awarded the operations center contract with the RTD in Denver way back in 2002.  I moved here in October that year and have loved my time in the state and the industry, serving as manager for that original contract for nine years before a short stint managing the state's Medicaid NEMT brokerage.  I have served as the grants unit manager for CDOT's Division of Transit & Rail for nearly three years, hopefully putting my stamp on an organization that has undergone some significant change, shifting its focus to improving our relationship with all of our grant partners.

It has been an honor and a privilege to have been a part of the transit industry in Colorado over the past 14 years.  I have been honored to serve eight years on the board at CASTA, helped to found and develop DRMAC in Denver, assisted in the turnaround at the grants unit here at CDOT, and participated in so many different committees and councils across the state.
I have treasured the relationships that I have had with each and every one of you and I take those experiences with me as I embark on my next adventure in the state of Washington.

If you have not yet done so, I invite you to connect with me on LinkedIn.  Thank you for being a part of my life here in Colorado.  Safe travels, wherever your life and career take you.
