NAR Approved Code of Ethics Training Due 12/31/18

If you completed your NAR required Code of Ethics in 2017 or so far in 2018, you're good. If you haven't there are a few options for you listed below including the FREE, NON CREDIT WORTHY COE training and the $29.95 CREDIT WORTHY COE training. If you aren't sure if you have completed it within this timeframe, feel free to contact the office otherwise MCAR will be reaching out to those individuals in the coming months to request it be completed.

Have you created your profile on CE Marketplace yet? The marketplace is a one stop shop to find and track education. If you're audited by LARA and your educational records are updated in CE Marketplace, CE Marketplace will assist in that audit process on your behalf.

Need to Update your CE Marketplace Profile Information?

As a registered user of CE Marketplace, you can update your profile at any time. Simply click on the Login in the upper right corner. If you have forgotten your Username or Password, click on the Forgot Username or Password link and a recovery email will be sent to your email address on file.

Once you are logged in, select Licensee from the main screen to view your continuing education history, add self-reporting credits, and change your email, username, and password. To get updates and your CE Marketplace certificates of completion, please be sure we have your current email on file.

MCAR: Montcalm County Association of Realtors®
Part of being a Realtor® is belonging to the state, national and local Associations. MCAR is that third piece for you. As a primary Realtor® Member, which is the majority of our membership, you pay your state, national and local dues here. MCAR is currently also where you would obtain MLS and Supra services. As of January 1st, 2018, we have 62 Primary Realtor® Members and 5 Secondary Realtor® Members (Brokers who belong to multiple Associations) and 25 Affiliate Members (our business partners: lenders, title companies, appraisal companies, etc….).

MichRIC: Michigan Regional Information Center LLC, formerly SWMRIC or Southwest Michigan Regional Information Center
The Michigan Regional Information Center, LLC is EQUALLY owned by 11 Member Associations and their respective Multiple Listing Systems, including Montcalm County Association of Realtors® (MCAR).

I am a commercial broker. Are the new advertising requirements applicable to the sale of commercial property? 
YES. The law is applicable to any advertisement to buy, sell, exchange, rent, lease or mortgage real property or a business opportunity by a real estate broker. There is no exception for commercial property or commercial brokers.
