Robbie Dean Press began because of this owner's desire to write a book that would serve my Deaf college students' composition needs. And so, in 1991, RDP began because of the goal to get out only one book. I had no intentions of starting a publishing company. Yet, with the encouragement of a teaching colleague, support of a dear sister-friend, and support of my husband, and the guidance of the Great Publisher, 25 years later, that goal has definitely changed with a focus on producing textbooks for a wide range of college students.
