Designers tell us everyday what they want. And while not all the requests are the same, there is a leading pattern of less is more. Thin tops. Narrow bases. Connectivity. Affordability. That is what we hear daily, and we've listened.
The Engage is our answer. Carefully created over the last year by a group of our finest - engineering, purchasing, production, sales and estimating team members have all been at the table week after week - the Engage features:
- An Overlay reverse knife edge just over 1½ inches thick (depending on the material used)
- Pedestal bases just 4 inches wide, and yet still capable of handling wire management
- A pristine tabletop thanks to a whole new technology solution that designer Chris Howe created in-house: the Covert Glide, a hidden under table power system that maintains that thin edge
To top off those "less is more" aspects, we've also addressed a different trend for diverse materials to fit any design. The Engage provides diverse tabletop materials, including glass, stone and engineered materials over a solid wood edge and a base that can be made from two materials, such as veneer and metal or veneer and opaque lacquer.
At 30 inches tall and with that thin top and under table technology, the Engage also offers a full 28 inches of space from the floor to the underside of the tabletop providing ample room for legs and chair arms to slide under the table.
And the Engage comes with a
credenza meant to match materials and design components and provide the convenience of conference room storage space.
The Engage is WallGoldfinger's first fixed conference table line and first credenza line. Known for our custom work and reconfigurable Arbor and Summit tables, this is our answer to a market niche previously unmet by a WallGoldfinger product line.
We haven't taken this step lightly. In addition to responding to your calls for such a table, we did significant market research and officially announce the Engage with tremendous excitement that we have not only created something new, but something right for the marketplace, practical in its use and beautiful in its design.
