In celebration of Chicago's  Year of Public Art , CGN is publishing a series chronicling milestones of public art in the city.  The first article explores the unlikely connections between Yoko Ono's Skylanding and the Art Institute of Chicago's bronze lions.

Spring is officially here, and we are excited to share the latest art world news, upcoming exhibitions, and CGN features with you.

We just published the first article in our series exploring the history of public art in Chicago. The first story focuses on the unlikely connections between Yoko Ono's  Skylanding  and the Art Institute of Chicago's bronze lions.

We also sat down with Ross Jordan, curator of  The Presidential Library Project: Black Presidential Imaginary  to talk about his new exhibition that opens this week at the Hyde Park Art Center.

Be sure to read our two-part series on MCA Chicago and the Walker Art Center's joint exhibitions highlighting the career of choreographer Merce Cunningham.

See you in the galleries!
