CHC'S BACK-TO-SCHOOL TIPS    

Every CHC parent understands the importance of ongoing audiology care and speech and language services for their child with hearing loss. But during the back-to-school season there are extra steps to take to ensure success in the coming year. To help you manage the many needs of the season, here are CHC's Back-to-School Tips for Parents and Educators of children with hearing loss and auditory processing disorder.  

DETERMINE IF YOUR CHILD COULD BENEFIT FROM EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

MAXIMIZE YOUR CHILD'S ACCESS TO SOUND

ADDRESS LANGUAGE AND LISTENING CHALLENGES RELATED TO APD

Children with typical hearing can also face listening challenges. Auditory processing disorder (APD) can cause children to have trouble understanding spoken language. Left untreated, APD hinders reading, writing, and social development. But when properly addressed, kids with APD can become effective listeners and thrive academically.  Learn more.

  •  The 23rd Annual Feast - Nov. 7 at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in NYC. This evening of epicurean wonders, complete with stunning river views and fabulous auction prizes, is second to none.
