The Census Information Center of Eastern Oklahoma, a program of the Community Service Council, provides access to data generated from the US Census Bureau and through the Community Service Council's Data and Systems Development Task Forces. 

February International Trade Data: Deficit With China Decreases; Mexico Increases   

   
The U.S. Census Bureau released February 2017  international trade in goods data . The monthly trade gap narrowed the most with China, a decline of $8.3 billion (26.6 percent), followed by Canada with a decline of $1.3 billion (38.1 percent). The monthly trade gap widened with Mexico by $1.8 billion (46.0 percent), followed by Ireland with a $0.4 billion increase (13.3 percent).
A Profile of U.S. Importing and Exporting Companies 

   
The U.S. Census Bureau will release A Profile of U.S. Importing and Exporting Companies, 2014-2015. This report provides information on identified companies and their known export or import value.

Older Americans Month: May 2017 

   
President John F. Kennedy first celebrated older Americans by designating May 1963 as Senior Citizens Month. Every president since has issued a formal proclamation during or before the month of May in support of older Americans. In 1980, President Jimmy Carter's proclamation changed the name to Older Americans Month. This month continues to be a time to celebrate those age 65 and older through ceremonies, events and public recognition. This year's theme, Age Out Loud, gives aging a new voice - one that reflects what today's older adults have to say.
