27 August 2014, CIRS to hold a free webinar: How to Register Imported Hazardous Chemicals in China

If you are planning to import hazardous chemicals in China, you have to obtain a hazardous chemical registration certificate from the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) prior to importing. New Updates of MEP Order No.7 - CIRS attended the workshop on New Chemical Substance Notification held by MEP in Beijing

July 9-10th 2014, CIRS attended the workshop on New Chemical Substance Notification in China held by the Ministry of Environment Protection Solid Waste and Chemical Management Center (MEP-SCC) in Beijing. Hundreds of representatives from large companies, third-party agencies and testing organizations attended this workshop. MEP revealed the trends and the number of New Chemical Substance Notification done by industries during the period from 2011 to 2014. News and updates of MEP Order No.7 were also given by the MEP-SCC.

22 July 2014, CIRS successfully held the Webinar: An Introduction to Operating Licenses for Hazardous Chemicals in China

30 June, CFDA Issued the Final Version of the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC)

The final version of Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredient in China (IECIC 2014) is published on 30 June 2014, according to the official notice issued by CFDA. There are 8783 ingredients listed in the final version of IECIC 2014. CIRS encourages you to check the inventory immediately to make sure that your products can be legally used in China.

23 to 27 June 2014, CIRS specialists and experts attended the first official workshop on environmental risk assessment held by the MEP in Beijing

23 to 27 June 2014, a group of specialists and experts attended the official workshop on environmental risk assessment report compilation under MEP Order 22. This is the first time that authority held the workshop since the Catalog of Priority Hazardous Chemicals for Environmental Management (PHCs) was issued in April 2014. According to MEP Order 22, industries can commission a certified third party to compile risk assessment report if they manufacture or use the PHCs to manufacture products in China. Guidance on regulatory compliance approach for prepackaged food

According to the information published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ), CIRS's food regulatory team have found that there were high occurrences that batches of prepackaged foods were returned or destroyed by China Customs. Incompliant food additives, food raw materials, disqualified quality index and inappropriate Chinese labels were the main reasons for the returning or destroying of imported prepackaged foods in recent years.
