all families are encouraged to apply. The application process is only online this year and can be completed in English or Spanish.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
We had a reflective and prayerful week, learning about the challenges faced by many people dealing with hunger or homelessness, and praying for relief and solutions. As expected, our students and families responded generously to help meet these challenges. We hoped to raise at least $2,361 to support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services and Oxfam and secure 2,193 food and comfort items for St. Vincent de Paul and The Dayton Foodbank.
As a school, we surpassed both - bringing in more than $2,800 and just over 3,000 items!
To celebrate the generosity of our school community, we will close the school and all offices on Friday, Feb. 12. This day is in addition to the President's Day holiday on Monday, Feb. 15.
Prayer Service Honoring the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
Thursday, Dec. 3 | 9:30 a.m. | Auditorium
We will celebrate the 175-year anniversary of the Sisters' coming to America on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium. During the service, we will also unveil the Sr. Dorothy Stang historical marker that will be placed on the grounds of CJ at a later time.
Freshman Retreat
Friday, Dec. 4
All freshmen will attend the freshman retreat during school on Friday, Dec. 4.

Winter Athletic Participation Fee

Dayton Boat Club
Shadow a Training Session | SCC
CJ has been providing rowing through the Dayton Boat Club since 2004. Rowing is a "year round" sport so rowers can join us anytime. We would like to invite you and your child to visit us during any training session at the SCC, November 30 - January 1 on Mondays or Wednesdays from 4:45 - 7:45 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or Sundays from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. You and your child can arrive anytime within these blocks of time. Class of 2016
Graduation Requirement
The State of Ohio requires all students complete instruction in Personal Finance before graduation. CJ offers this course online. Students must watch videos and complete readings during this course. At the end of every section, there is a quiz and a final exam at the end of this course. Students must score an 80% or above on all of the assessments.
Don MacLeod, CJ's Business Teacher, is facilitating this course and sent an email to students' CJ email addresses with directions on accessing the course and completing it. If students have questions, they should
email him.
Seniors must have the course completed by December 31, 2015.
