Parents are invited to come to an informational session to learn about the many STEMM programs and enrichment opportunities available in the Miami Valley area for middle and high school students. You can expect to learn more about job shadowing, college and career exploration, hands-on STEM events, summer camps and internships, school year workshops, and other community programs for your student.
This session, for parents only, will be on Tuesday, November 17 from 6 - 8 p.m. in the CJ Library. There will be a presentation at the beginning of the session and the rest of the evening will be in an open-house format.
I will be sharing many of the programs and opportunities for your student that can enhance their learning and help to best prepare them for college and a career in STEMM fields. It will also be an opportunity to meet other parents, and form a network of those of us interested in helping our students succeed with an interest in STEMM. If you know of other parents in the community who may be interested in this session, please invite them.
If you have any questions about this event, please let me know.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week
Monday, Nov. 16 - Monday, Nov. 23
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week will begin
Monday, Nov. 16
. This week is dedicated to bringing awareness to our school about hunger and homeless issues in our community, nation and world.
Our efforts are part of Pope Francis' support of the Food for all Campaign which aims to end systemic hunger by 2025.
Each day during the week has a theme:
- Money Monday
- Toiletry Tuesday
- Warm Wednesday
- Fasting Thursday
- Food Friday
- Miscellaneous Monday
For the theme of the day, students are encouraged to contribute items that correlate with that theme. Contributions will be given to organizations including Oxfam & Catholic Relief Services, St. Vincent DePaul and The Foodbank. If contributions from students, faculty and staff average to $3 and 3 items throughout the course of the week, there will be an extra day off school later this year.

Founders' Thoughts
"We must be patient, you and I. Things do not go quite straight in this life... Wait with patience for the moments of the good God."
"
We have been urged to preach in season and out of season. It has been forseen that the world will not always listen to us. We must nevertheless bear witness to the truth. God will see to the fruits in his own good time."
