We are nearing the last days of this Lenten Season. On Ash Wednesday, we held Mass at Emmanuel Church and began our Lenten Mission Drive. This year, contributions collected in the drive will be given to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur's Clean Water Project and the Marianist School in Nairobi, Kenya: Our Lady of Nazareth. We also held adoration on Friday's during the Lenten season. During our March liturgy, Bishop Joseph Binzer was the guest celebrant during Mass at Emmanuel, delivering a powerful message to students, faculty and staff.
This Holy Week, students will have an 8 a.m. start on Wednesday so they can attend the Stations of the Cross prayer service in our school auditorium. There will also be the regularly scheduled daily Mass on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. in our chapel, which parents are always welcome to attend.
During this Lenten season, we have all had the opportunity to deepen our relationship with God through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We continue our Lenten sacrifices that lead us to the experience of greater joy in the celebration of our Lord's resurrection.
