Why would high school students choose to spend a week of their summer away from home, living in very simple conditions, spending their days outside doing service for others, and then  gathering for evening praying and reflecting on their experiences?  At the same time that I was considering this question, more than 30 of our students boarded a bus to Washington, D.C. to participate in the March for Life rally in the middle of this very cold and snowy January. 

I think the answers are the same. Our students are committed to their faith and have a desire to live that out and share the Gospel message of love wherever it may take them.

Students who participate in our mission trips come back with a deeper sense of the needs of others in our world and an appreciation of people who may be different from them, but created in the same image and likeness of God. They bring this awareness back and are inspired to continue working for justice, living out the Gospel and serving others here in our own communities.  

This year, we will again offer three mission trips for our students. The Belize mission trip will be June 12 - 18; the Solsberry, Indiana mission trip will be June 20 - 24; and the Young Neighbors in Action mission trip to Detroit, Michigan will be July 10-16.
