As the school year begins to draw to a close, the month of May brings warmer weather along with the annual feeling of excitement to the halls of Chaminade Julienne. May is traditionally a month of looking back in acknowledgement of our students' many accomplishments, and this year is no different.
Yesterday, we officially ushered in the end-of-year celebrations with the annual Service Awards Assembly. In the course of the celebration, Kelli Kinnear, Director of Ministry and Service, shared that our students volunteered more than 11,000 hours combined this school year! Click here to see how much financial contribution those hours equal. We also commissioned more than 30 students and faculty to attend summer mission trips to Solsberry, Cleveland and Belize. Our prayers go with these students who have chosen to open their hearts to the service of others.
Looking ahead, this Friday seniors will gather for the Senior Dinner Dance, and next week brings with it our Honors Assembly and the Picnic with the PoPS. Seniors take final exams the week of May 18, then celebrate Baccalaureate and graduation on May 21 and 28, respectively. Underclassmen take final exams the week of May 26. More information about final exams can be found here.
We are excited about all this month brings to our CJ community, and we are so happy to be sharing it all with you.
God Bless, and Go Eagles!
