Washington D.C. Experience!
April 28 - May 5, 2018
For six days, beginning Sunday morning, we will reveal the beauty and history of the nation's capital -- with the famous cherry blossoms as a backdrop!  Attendees should plan to arrive by Saturday, April 28 for a late afternoon welcome reception at our CJF hotel, the Westin Georgetown with the rest of the evening free to relax or explore.
 
Proceeds from this trip will be awarded as g rants from CJF to support civics education programs and curriculum in California schools.

Planned excursions and visits include:
  • Sunday morning welcome to Washington guided city tour with monuments, memorials and Arlington Cemetery.
  • A special meeting with Associate Justice Elena Kagan at the US Supreme Court  
  • Tour of the U.S. Department of Justice and briefing
  • The US Capital Building and Library of Congress tour
  • The Newseum
  • A day trip to Mount Vernon - George Washington's estate
  • Ford's Theatre
  • Maybe even a Washington Nationals or Baltimore Orioles baseball game
  • Free time for your own memories and site visits
  • Farewell Dinner Cruise on the Potomac!

A non-refundable deposit of $400 per traveler is required to hold your spot. The registration fee for the program is $3,895 (single) or $5,495 (double) and includes seven nights luxury hotel, welcome reception, education materials, premium coach transportation, most meals, tours and entrance fees all subject to change based on schedule changes and final pricing.
