Community Potluck at the Columbus Idea Foundry

Dear Sangha,

After the fire, many groups reached out to offer their support. One of these was the Columbus Idea Foundry , "a Franklinton-based group of artists, makers, and entrepreneurs," and a neighbor of ours in Franklinton.

Mike Chambers of the group wrote to us saying " As a 'maker space' we value creativity, as well as community. When I learned of the recent fire that damaged your building, I suggested to our membership that we invite you, as our neighbors, to join us to foster and celebrate the vibrant community of our neighborhood. If your members are interested, we'd like to invite you to join us for an informal cover-dish dinner on February 19, 7:00pm at the Columbus Idea Foundry, 421 West State Street."

We have accepted this friendly offer, and so we are inviting you, Columbus KTC members and friends, to join us this Friday, February 19th, 7pm, to celebrate our community with the Columbus Idea Foundry.

We did tell the organization that many of our members our vegetarian; however, it is an open potluck, so we anticipate a range of dishes being served. Mr. Chambers said he would ask his members to clearly label their dishes (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, etc. . . ) But please bring what you would enjoy.

An important note concerning touring the Idea Foundry reads as follows:

"We LOVE showing off our facility and giving tours. But for insurance reasons and for the safety of our visitors, we cannot allow anyone to tour the building unless they are accompanied by a member. Not to worry, there will be plenty of folks willing to show you around."

Thank you to the Columbus Idea Foundry for inviting us over! And thank you, Columbus KTC members and friends, for considering joining us this Friday. We are excited to check out this creative space and meet neighborhood friends. We hope to see many of you there!

Best wishes in Dharma,
