In 2017, scholarships were awarded to 3 high school seniors. Julia Garver, the daughter of a member of the Torrance Police Officer’s Association, started pursuing her degree in Chemistry at University of California, Santa Cruz this fall. This year two children of San Diego County Deputy Sheriff Association members earned scholarships. Samantha Montalbano began working towards her degree in Business Administration – Accounting at San Diego State University this fall. Julie Vorce started earning her degree in Nursing at Biola University. In conjunction with San Francisco Credit Union, CPSA awarded 2 scholarships to college students in 2017. Kailani Ridenour, the daughter of a member of the Stockton Police Management Association, continues to work on her major in Sociology and minor in Gender and Women’s Studies at University of California, Berkeley. Liliana Ochoa, the daughter of a California ABC Investigator, continues to earn her degree in Criminal Justice at Sacramento State University. CPSA wishes them all the best in their pursuit of higher education and looks forward to learning about this year’s applicants.

Applications and all supporting documents must be postmarked by April 2, 2018.
Scholarship recipients will be notified mid to late May.
