Cohort 4 Participants and CLP Project Team Members
As a member of the CLP team, one of my greatest joys is to witness the impact that the Project has on our beneficiaries - from the Leadership Development Programme (LDP) participants to the members of our Communities of Practice, to the attendees at our leadership symposia and other events which are open to the public. The following update provides a few highlights from CLP's activities during the period January to March 2015. Click here to read more.

A Journey of Fears, Challenges and Rewards
Sir Henry Fraser
The CLP invited Sir Henry Fraser, Professor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) and Independent Senator in the Upper House of Parliament (Barbados), to serve as a guest speaker during the first workshop for Cohort 4 in the LDP. Sir Henry spoke on the topic: "Leadership in the Caribbean Region: Past, Present and Future". His session resonated deeply with the LDP participants and as such, CLP Connect invited him to share with us his personal leadership journey.  Click here to learn more.
The OECS has a proud record of achievement over its thirty-three year history, and stands as a model of integration for small developing countries. In fact, the OECS model is increasingly being recommended to small island developing states by institutions such as the World Bank as a model worthy of emulation.

Speech by His Excellency Richard Hanley
On February 23, 2015, His Excellency Richard Hanley, High Commissioner for Canada, delivered remarks at the Grand Salle, Central Bank of Barbados on the first day of  the Week of Excellence 2015, which was held under the theme: "Bridging the Gap - Today's Leaders; Tomorrow's Prospects".   Click here to read his speech.

The RLNA Team
In 2014 the Government of Saint Lucia (GOSL) posed a special request to the Caribbean Leadership Project. Through its Ministry of the Public Service, Information and Broadcasting, it sought technical assistance with the execution of a public service-wide learning needs assessment. The CLP project team responded positively, recognising it as an opportunity to assist not just one member territory, but to facilitate a wave of multiple benefits across public sector organisations and institutions throughout the region.Click here to read more.

CARICOM Heads of Government
The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has been challenged to discover new development pathways that encourage creativity and innovation. The former Prime Minister of Jamaica P.J. Patterson issued the challenge when he addressed the CARICOM Heads of Government at their recent meeting in The Bahamas where he had been invited by the current CARICOM Chairman to be their special guest.
