Welcome to CMC's Monthly Newsletter! September in CMC is usually a busy month, and this year is no exception with many exciting events and projects happening. Here's a brief summary of what we've been up to, as well as a preview of contemporary music events happening this month!

CMC presents Xenia, a 'Pop Up' Opera by Nick Roth
for Culture Night 2018 - 21 September 2018

Originally composed for Bealtaine @ TempleBar by Nick Roth and produced by Síobhra Quinlan, Roth explores the paradoxes of the concept of hospitality in this cutting-edge production of contemporary opera on historic Fishamble Street. Performed by Elizabeth Hilliard, soprano; Amy Ní Fhearraigh, soprano; Raymond Keane, narrator, Cora Venus Lunny, violinist; and Izumi Kimura, pianist. Performances will take place between 4 - 7pm on 21 September in CMC's atmospheric outdoor courtyard.
