The CMD-IT Board of Directors is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Valerie Taylor to the position of CEO and President of CMD-IT.
"Valerie has provided exceptional leadership of CMD-IT since its founding. Her dedication has enabled CMD-IT to expand its impact on diversity in academia, industry and government as well as assist with the success of many individuals," said Stuart Feldman, Board Chair, CMD-IT.
Valerie Taylor is the Director of the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory and Senior Scientist, Center for Research Collaborations at the University of Chicago.
She has received numerous awards for distinguished research in high performance computing and leadership in diversity efforts in computing. Valerie is an IEEE Fellow and an ACM Fellow.

"CMD-IT has seen significant growth in recent years with the introduction of new programs such as the FLIP Alliance and the CMD-IT University Award, as well as the scaling and impact of the Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference. Existing programs include annual professional development events for students, academia, and industry.
The new Executive Director will have an opportunity to leverage from established programs to grow CMD-IT and its impact on computing," said Valerie Taylor.
