Make Your Voice Heard

Want to have your opinion heard on issues of state-wide importance in your practice area? Have an idea for an article for a state-wide audience? Take advantage of your WBASNY membership and add your voice.

We are looking for members to join substantive law committees such as children's rights; criminal; employment and labor; environmental; family/matrimonial; and international women's rights. We also need members to join committees that guide the organization's work, such as diversity and amicus curiae. Your time commitment can be as little as an hour or two a month, to take part in conference call discussions and votes.

Or maybe you have an idea for a scholarly article that you would like published in the WBASNY newsletter. Articles must be 375 words or less and can be forwarded to  [email protected].

Your CNYWBA membership includes membership to the statewide organization, WBASNY. Get your money's worth and have your voice heard!

It's time to renew your

CNYWBA membership!

Please take a moment to renew your Central New York Women's Bar Association (CNYWBA) membership for the 2016-2017 membership year with this application and become part of a group of esteemed attorneys and judges who advance our mission: to promote justice for all, regardless of sex; to advance the social, economic and legal status of women through the law; to expand opportunities for women and to raise the level of competence and integrity in the legal profession.

There are numerous benefits to joining the CNYWBA.  We host several networking and social events each year (many are free to our members), offer free CLEs, and host chamber chats with the local judiciary.  Some of our most popular annual events are our Judicial Reception, Women in Law and Medicine Dinner, Membership Reception, Go Red for Women Fundraiser, Karen DeCrow Lecture, and our Holiday Party.  By joining the CNYWBA, you also become a member of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY), the second largest  statewide bar association and the largest bar association dedicated to the advancement of women.

Please consider joining as a Sustaining Member!  In addition to the benefits all CNYWBA members receive, CNYWBA Sustaining Members receive these additional membership perks:

·         FREE ADMISSION to our Judicial Reception if your application is postmarked by September 1;

·         Special nametags at all CNYWBA events; and

·         Special recognition on our website.

NEW THIS YEAR

This year, the CNYWBA will be creating a publicly accessible membership database on our website. The information box at the top of your application indicates what information we may share on this database.  You may opt-out of the database completely, or you can limit the information featured on this database by limiting the information provided on your membership application.

I hope you will join us again this year!
