ADMOR HVAC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MASON MACLOVES

Scholarship Awarded in Memory of Baby Boy...
Mason Kekoa Macloves, son of Brad and Almarie Macloves, passed away from sepsis just two days shy of turning 8 months old, on February 3, 2016. In an effort to honor his memory and raise sepsis awareness, a scholarship fund with the University of Hawaii Foundation was created in Mason's name by Admor HVAC Products, Inc.

On August 31, 2017, during Admor HVAC's 24th Anniversary Events, the first scholarships were awarded to UH Manoa students Kalani Stephens and Samantha Alvarado. Kalani majors in Economics and Asian Studies and is set to graduate in the spring of 2018. Upon graduation, Kalani plans to attend graduate school and become a geography professor. He hopes to one day start a non-profit that aids under-developed countries with receiving necessities like healthcare and clean water while helping to improve unnecessary mortality rates especially in infants and children through preventative care. Samantha majors in Natural Resources and Environmental Management and is set to graduate a year early in the spring of 2018. Upon graduation, Samantha plans to attend graduate school and later become a high school educator. She is passionate about dedicating her to time to help preserve Hawaii's ecosystems and serving her community. Both students said that the scholarship will help them tremendously with their tuition, books and other expenses.

COOLING CANCER RAISERS $60,000 FOR CANCER RESEARCH

Mahalo to all of the Golfers, Sponsors, Volunteers and Contributors who participated in our 2017 Cooling Cancer Golf Tournament held on September 1, 2017 at Hoakalei Country Club.  168 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in the sun playing golf, enjoying great food and drinks while raising $60,000 for the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.  U.H. Cancer Center Director Dr. Randall Holcombe was on hand to greet our golfers at the tournament and he expressed his gratitude to Cooling Cancer and all of the great sponsors and volunteers who come together each year for this great cause.  The University of Hawaii Cheer Squad along with the Rainbow Dancers were also on hand to bring school spirit and support this important event.  Our sincere thanks to the incredible sponsors and volunteers who helped to make this year's tournament our best ever.  We are looking forward to next year's event and hope that everyone comes back again to help us raise even more money for cancer research.  Our total donations to the University of Hawaii Cancer Center now exceeds $200,000 and our ultimate goal is to reach the million dollar mark soon.  Visit
www.coolingcancergolf.org for more information and to view over 200 photos from this year's event.

400 PEOPLE ATTEND THE ADMOR HVAC TAILGATE PARTY

Thanks to all of our great Vendors who contributed to our Vendor Fair events and Tailgate Party at Aloha Stadium.  Thanks to you, we were able to throw a tailgate party the likes of which has not been seen in Hawaii in a very long time.  Over 400 of our customers, engineers, architects and friends joined Admor HVAC Products and the U.H. Foundation for one of the best tailgate parties ever.  The event featured incredible BBQ catered by Serge's Mexican Kitchen.  That's right, a Mexican restaurant cooked up great tasting Pulled Pork, Chicken Wings, Ribs, Burgers and Hot Dogs that I guarantee was the best food in Aloha Stadium on September 2nd.   The entire University of Hawaii Band stopped by and played songs including the U.H. Fight Song and Hawaii Five-O to get our crowd pumped up for the game.  Performances by the Rainbow Dancers and Cheer Squad energized our party and the crowd that included U.H. President David Lassner, Athletic Director, Dave Matlin and current and former players and coaches from a wide variety of U.H. sports.  Our sincere thanks to Kimo Kai at the U.H. Foundation for helping bring this great party together.

Admor HVAC Products and Cooling Cancer have teamed up with AmazonSmile to raise money for cancer research in Hawaii.  When you shop using our link to AmazonSmile, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Cooling Cancer.  All of the proceeds will be donated to the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.  When you shop Amazon gives.  So easy and it is the same Amazon you already use with the same products, prices and service.  Just use our link when you shop to help support cancer research in Hawaii.

Every one reading this Newsletter has been touched by cancer in some way.  The disease is taking our family, loved ones and friends far too soon.  We can choose to do nothing or take a stand together to help fight this disease and find a cure.  While our efforts may be small in the large world of cancer, at least we are doing something rather than nothing.  If our donations can improve the life of a cancer patient, prolong a life or help find a cure we have done our job.  Please join us today as we raise money for the University of Hawaii Cancer Center.  When it is as easy as shopping on Amazon, we must do this!

LEGENDARY COACH DAVE SHOJI "LOVES HIS FUJITSU"

When it comes to University of Hawaii sports, there is no greater legend than Wahine Volleyball Coach Dave Shoji.  42 years coaching, 4 National Championships, 1202 Career wins and 5 National Coach of the Year Awards.  Dave's record, hard work, competitive spirit, commitment, integrity and love for Hawaii athletics is second to none. There is no greater person that we would want to have in a Fujitsu television commercial than Dave, and thanks to some great friends at the University of Hawaii we were able to pay tribute to his record in our new Fujitsu commercial.  The spot was filmed on location at Klum Gym on the campus of University of Hawaii.  We used a real club volleyball team (Kuikahi) made up of local girls from various high schools around Honolulu for the action sequences.  The temperature inside Klum Gym was in the 90's and it was so hot that the girls were sweating like crazy.  The final scenes were filmed at a home in Waialae Iki.  Dave and the girls did an incredible job as did the crew at KITV under the direction of Troy Gomes.  Troy took our idea for the commercial and laid out his vision for the action sequences and audio. Two cameras were used to shoot the spot with Troy on ladders, on the ground and in the faces of the players.  Visit www.ilovemyfujitsu.com to view a video slideshow of behind the scenes action.  We think this is one of the best Fujitsu commercials ever and want to thank Dave, all the Girls and KITV (especially Troy Gomes) for doing a fantastic job.  Enjoy the spot that we named "The Coach".  You may view all of our Fujitsu commercials at   www.ilovemyfujitsu.com
