Calls him 'progressive voice for working families'

 

July 31, 2012 - Brooklyn, NY - Council Member Letitia James today endorsed Walter T. Mosley for Assembly in the 57th district.

 

"I am proud to throw my complete support behind Walter for Assembly," said Council Member James. "Through his life of public service, he has shown a passionate commitment to the people of central Brooklyn, and I know that he will be a progressive voice for working families in Albany. Together, we will make sure that the needs of our community are met on both the local and state level."

Letitia James is the current council member for Brooklyn's 35th Councilmanic district, representing Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, parts of Crown Heights, Prospect Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant. She is the first member of the Working Families Party (WFP) to be elected to office in New York State and has been a leader on housing, labor, and women's issues.

 

Walter T. Mosley currently serves as the New York State Committeeman and District Leader of the 57th district, representing Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, and parts of Crown Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant. Through his work with literacy programs, housing advocacy groups, and mentoring and youth organizations, Walter has sought to help working families move forward through these tough financial times.
