Senior PR Leadership Forum with Mark Ragan

The Canadian Public Relations Society invites you to an interactive forum for senior public relations/communications leaders!
This is no ordinary workshop. Instead, you'll sit at a roundtable with 30 of your peers, led by PR Daily publisher and Ragan Communications CEO Mark Ragan. You'll exchange ideas, solve problems, benchmark, network and brainstorm.

Potential topics include:

  • increase reliably-measured ROI for your public relations/communications and media relations programs,
  • improve reputation, increase brand recognition and earn bigger budgets,
  • harness brand journalism to get credibility, coverage and social media buzz, find-and pitch-influential journalists on social media, and
  • reinvent campaigns and careers with amazing public relations/communications "experiences".
PLUS! Be one of the first 25 CPRS-VI members in good standing to register, and you will receive $200 discount over and above the already discounted CPRS member rate!

CPRS-VI Turns 35!
November 4th was a special day for the Vancouver Island chapter of CPRS - we celebrated our 35th birthday!

To commemorate the big occasion, we are hosting a call for donations of any old photos and documents from our early years. We would love to be able to share them with our members!

Thank you to all of our members, volunteers, and Board of Directors for your support throughout the years.

The Vancouver Island chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS-VI) is vibrant and growing community of Vancouver Island professionals who work/have an interest in public relations, communications, and marketing.

October was a great month for our career listing service, four organizations came to us for to share their job opportunity within our community, to ensure they get the best qualified applicants!.

"Thanks to Capital Regional District, BC Oil and Gas Commission, BC Pensions Corporation, the United Way of Greater Victoria and ZINC Strategies for listing their opportunities with us over the past month," said CPRS President Peggy Kulmala, APR. "Listing through us helps ensure you get the best candidates while supporting  public relations on Vancouver Island."

For those who want to know more about this service, each posting brings in $100 to our coffers, 100% of which goes to support society operations, helping to keep event registrations affordable.

Within 24 hours of receipt, the posting is live on our website, and CPRS-VI members receive the posting directly in their in-box, providing them first opportunity to share or access the opportunity. The posting is then shared via social media and in the monthly newsletters.

Providing employer access to well-connected network of Vancouver Island public relations, communications, and marketing practitioners at a competitive rate is proving increasingly popular - our career listing service is growing. With an average of 24 listings yearly between 2013/2014 and 2015/2016, CPRS-VI received 29 in 2016/2017.

Looking to share an opportunity? CPRS-VI offers a direct link to a well-connected network of public relations, communications and marketing practitioners across Vancouver Island. Check out what we offer here! Looking for one? CPRS-VI members receive career and volunteer notices directly in their in-box, and we share what comes our way via Twitter via #PRJobsVI. Contact our membership team for more info!
