CREATE and the Transportation Security Administration will come together for a two-day summer symposium to better align research efforts towards solving anticipated transportation security challenges in aviation over the next decade.  Read more.

CREATE Launches Professional Education Series

CREATE director Dr. Ali Abbas presented the Professional Education Course: Foundations of Decision Analysis for Homeland Security at DHS Training Center in Washington D.C.

district (and member of the appropriations committee on Homeland Security) and her chief of staff and field director visited the CREATE center at USC and met with CREATE Director Dr. Ali Abbas.   Read more.

CREATE Study Examines
Terrorist Recruitment of Somali-Americans


A new report by CREATE researchers has exposed the collaboration between ISIS and the al Qaeda affiliate al Shabaab in recruiting Somali-Americans.

The report was published shortly after the recent arrest of six Somali-American men who planned to travel to Syria to fight with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
