President's Corner

Phyllis Liebman Brill
2017 President

Dear Members,

Last week we kicked off the year with guest speaker Carla Harris who shared some of her experiences and the pearls of wisdom she acquired along the way. So many of her ideas connect directly with CREW's mission and our Chapter goals. "The Power of the Network" is one of them. In order to be successful in the Commercial Real Estate Industry, you need a strong and trusted network. People need to know who you are and feel comfortable with you. As a Member of CREW DC, you can build your network and serving on a committee is one of the best ways to do this. Only as a Member of CREW DC, can you get involved and serve on a committee. Get to know other CREW Members and let them get to know you. Develop new skills and have fun while doing so. Looking for more responsibility, serving on a committee can lead to leadership positions within the organization as a Committee Chair or on the Board of Directors. These opportunities also exist on the Network level working with other CREW members across the country. Take advantage of what we have to offer. Renew your membership and attend the February 22nd General Meeting to hear more about each of our committees, then join one. Make 2017 the year you focus on developing more meaningful relationships and building your Network.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Liebman Brill
