Focus on Sponsorship

Make 2017 the year of sponsorship for your company! When you become a sponsor of CREW DC not only does your company and employees benefit, you create an opportunity for the powerful female-driven community of CREW DC to grow. Sponsorship benefits companies by providing a marketing and advertising opportunity, networking events, and an outlet to carry out a mission statement. CREW members benefit from the diverse network each sponsor brings to the table. Most importantly, sponsorship leads to professional and personal development for all parties.

Beyond the tangible, the CREW DC and CREW Network stats boast a unique position within the market share:

  • As the founding member of the CREW national network organization (CREW Network) - The DC Chapter has been in existence for 38 years and continues to grow and serve a vibrant role in the industry
  • More than 700 CREW Network members in the Greater Washington, DC area
  • Approximately 5,000 companies represented in all major cities around the country
  • More than 10,000 CREW Network members in the United States and Canada
  • CREW DC is the largest chapter in the nation, currently with 571 members

Ask a member about their experience as a CREW DC sponsor and here is what they will tell you...

"Diversity and inclusion are two fundamental principles at Capital One, which is why our sponsorship of CREW D.C. is so valuable. CREW D.C. empowers an increasingly diverse group of women working in commercial real estate to reach new heights in their careers. My own experience within the organization as a member and past board member and president has provided valuable contacts, insights, and educational opportunities. What I like most, however, is that in addition to providing personal benefits, the group offers opportunities to give back to the community of present and future women CRE executives." - Sadhvi K. Subramanian, Capital One

"Cushman & Wakefield is a proud supporter of CREW DC because of the organization's contributions to, and empowerment of, women in the commercial real estate industry and beyond. We find great value in CREW for our female members between the breadth of programming and wealth of leadership opportunities." - Roberta Levy Liss, Cushman & Wakefield

President's Corner

Phyllis Liebman Brill
2017 President

Dear Members,

Happy New Year! In just a few weeks we will kick off the year with our first lunch program featuring Carla Harris, Wall Street powerhouse and equity capital market leader, author and accomplished singer. I had the pleasure of first hearing Carla speak at the CREW Convention in Seattle in 2015. In her inspiring talk, Carla described some pivotal moments in her career which led to the insights she outlines in her new book Strategize to Win. I recall her asking the audience "How can you help someone else activate their career?" then continued on by saying "Let's advance our careers and help others do the same." This really resonated with me because that's what CREW is all about. Our mission is to advance the success of women in commercial real estate.

How are we doing this? By offering great programs and networking opportunities; through leadership positions available at the Committee and Board level; by supporting CREW Foundation which introduces college women to the Commercial Real Estate industry; by encouraging members to take advantage of the programs and leadership opportunities available through CREW Network; by promoting business between members; by supporting local charities that help women re-enter the workforce and with our annual Awards program that recognizes transactions, projects and individuals within the commercial real estate community. With more members than ever, CREW DC continues to be the leading voice for women in Commercial Real Estate.

In 2017, let's focus on developing more meaningful connections with one another. Let's turn networking events into new business. It's truly all about advancing our careers and helping others to do the same. Thank you for investing your time and energy into this exceptional organization. I am excited and honored to serve as your 2017 CREW DC President and look forward to our accomplishing great things together.

Chapter Challenge 2017

It's a New Year and a New Chapter Challenge ! The Board of Directors invites you once again to be a part of CREW DC's success in answering the call of the CREW Network Foundation Chapter Challenge. The Three Chapter Challenges are:

  2. Get 100% of your chapter's board to give an individual donation
