Advocacy Corner
Without nutrition programs like SNAP,
millions of families are at risk of falling
deeper into hunger and poverty.

Federal nutrition programs like Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps), school meal programs, and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) help more than 40 million Americans put food on the table. Congress needs to protect and defend these programs against harmful structural changes and budget cuts.

Email your U.S. representative and your U.S. senators today. Tell your members of Congress to do their part to end hunger by protecting and strengthening SNAP.

Congress is under immense pressure to make budget cuts. Your voice is critical to ensuring that Congress makes funding choices that put us on track to ending hunger.

Volunteers Needed to Administer Surveys
United Way of Palm Beach County is looking for 25 volunteers to administer surveys as part of the Hunger Relief Plan to examine Palm Beach County food pantries' capacity to provide fresh, healthy foods and nutritional resources to the community. This information will then be used to create detailed maps that will highlight areas of need and where current resources are located. We will then use these maps to aid the implementation of the Hunger Relief Plan. There are more than 170 food pantries in the county that need to be surveyed. Click here for the informational flyer.
